ive been looking everywhere for the program that was used to make the hearts assistnt auto thanks if you can help me out

jerrylewis

elchie eater and texas was made with the same software what is it thanks

jerrylewis

no not asking how auto was made just the program that was used to make it and i alrewady figured it out it is visual basic

FlippantOne

With all due respect, that I think is a little bit different and unfair for comparison..VB is used in a lot more than just the making of autos, and is used by millions of people, and is pretty wide spread, it's not like he was asking for the code to the program..so he could re-code it or make it his own.. :)

FlippantOne

Well, he might have just been curious? I know that I was when I first started using autos, wondering what program designed them, what kind of code it would enlist, etc. etc..Maybe I'm not reading enough into his inquiries or something..Looks like simple questions to me, but then again who am I to judge.

Well as far as I am concerned you guys are like magicians working there magic,  and for that you amaze me.  You don't want (or at least I don't want) to know whats up the magicians sleeve :o

jerrylewis

was not asking to reproduce was trying to make a personal webbrowser as i like had seen the little icon before and i relized it was on one of the autos got me curious on what program it was Im not trying to make autos or programs to distrobute it was just an honest question and was curious the only stupid question here is not asking and not knowing  but thanks anyway

I am a "programmer" and I concur with badgehelpbob that the first question a programmer asks is "how could I do this better?". I know that, in the past, I have asked at least once what programming language was the favorite for writing these programs and I received no answer.  I don't really care what you use, I just want to learn and I felt limited by the language I was using then so I was ready to learn one.

And another thing, why does it matter why he wants the info?  I understand if you decide not to answer because you are afraid of competition, but then just say it that way, don't "judge" his question so harshly.  I have a few autos in the works but I don't have any plan on distributing them, as of now, so I completely agree with Jerry on this one.

I think you overreacted, bob.

QuoteI am happy to hear you are a "programmer"; although, I don't know what the quotation marks should signify.
the quotes are because it is a hobby, I don't hold title anywhere and I still like to think that I am learning new things

QuoteI have no competition. At least no credible competition.
so you think that no one could possibly release an auto that could compete with yours?  I think differently.

QuoteOver-reaction? I don't recall reacting at all.
I do apologize for this accusation, when I read your post it sounded like you were degrading jerry with...
QuoteI don't know who you are to judge either
...It sounded like you bore some element of hostility to jerry, but I will concede on this point

QuotePerhaps you should read more closely where I wrote: "I have never hesitated answering such questions."
and perhaps you should realize that I'm speaking from PERSONAL EXPERIENCE, which means I'm not making any assumptions or misreading your post.  I'm telling you what has happened to me in the past so dont tell me I'm wrong.

goatblls2006

QuoteWhen you are wrong, you are. Whether anyone points that out to you seems beside the point.

I don't even know why you are arguing this point, I have never talked to you before and yet you seem adamant that you know my past better than I do.  I hope you see the lunacy in this concept.

P.S. - I really don't like quote wars where people continually post back and forth and nitpick at each other's points forever.  I Really don't care what you think, I was just trying to add to the conversation.  You can reply to this if you want, but I won't reply to this thread anymore, I just don't care about it that much to try to make you understand my point of view, and vice versa.

FlippantOne

I hear that..I was merely trying to defend jerry's question and I guess I was rude, or something...Started it all off with, all due respect, didn't insult anyone, agree with you about the nitpicking though..No one is arguing anything but the conversation just keeps going in circles, I will concede the point that Bob knows more than I do about anything auto related or business related in that respect, so I'm not gonna even try and touch that one..

FlippantOne and goatblls2006, for 2 people who do not want to argue the issue, both of you sure did a lot of arguing on the subject.  Rethink the issue before you post things on this forum, because Bob has been here a long time and knows what he is talking about. Oh and Barb I know the Coronel would never give out his secret recipe.....LOL.
