Just got a new computer today, and now I can't get any of the auto's to work on it.

My specs are

Windows xp
Internet Explorer
Smooth Edges Unchecked
800 x 600
32 bit color setting

The only thing I've done to the computer is installed my spyware and VMJava .  Tried running a few auto's that i've never had a problem with before and they just sit there.  Tried fortune bingo auto and the phylinx auto, and they won't even appear.  I'm stumped what can i do.

Thx

RC

Perhaps installing your own spyware could be the problem lol.. I'm sure you must have meant something else by that.. spyware blocker, like an anti-virus scanner maybe?

You're certainly not the first to be having problems, regardless of setup or new computer or not. I'm sure someone more tech savvy will have some things to try.. one I can tell you that is mentioned a lot, is to have your screen setting at 1024x768 instead of the 800x600.

Getting a new computer is like restoring your old one....all of the codes will change.  You will have to email Badgehelp, follow the instructions exactly at the following... www.badgehelp.com/lost.htm

Ugh, we know someone who will be pulling their hair out entering all the registration codes.  Is there an auto for that?  ;D

lol patandmegan, I couldn't agree more.  I have all the auto's except the couple of new ones so it will take a while.  Fortunately there are a few games that i had finished, so i won't bother with those until they are a challenge.

Thank you Motley, changed my settings to 1024x768 and tried them.  They worked.  I changed back to my old settings and they are still working.  Thought I had tried this last night and it didn't work but it is now.  Maybe the computer needed a good night's rest to allow them to work, lol.  Thx again.

I thought i'd make life easier for those that try to put spywear on my computer and just install my own.  This way at least I know where it came from  :D

You are welcome, Magnet.  Sometimes my computer decides it needs a vacation and wants to stop responding to everything.  I just hold up a picture of a brand new computer and say, "I can't wait to get a whiff of the glorious scent of New Computer." I normally have no problems after that. (Well, after I realize I can't run everything I have installed at the same time and restart).
