When I downloaded my firefox I don't recall having to do anything more than just download it. But I also already have the Java sun and msvm. Sorry, this probably won't help. Maybe someone else can shed a little light. Good luck.

Nothing spoils a good story like the arrival of an eyewitness.

Make sure you are using the Sun jvm in Firefox and the MS jvm in IE/AOL. If you need more instructions, do a search here using the term "double browser" and you will find help there. The double browser trick is awesome. You can actually play against yourself......using another screen name....and win!

Good luck!

I had problems using firefox not long ago, so I deleted it & dl'ed it again then it worked fine.  But I mostly use IE.

ty mayhem and tina... i just finishing downloading it  is there anything else i must do or will it work  like it is??

For Firefox, I use the Sun java. You can check which one you are currently running by choosing Java from your Control Panel (not Internet Options). If you don't even see "Java" there, you are probably already using MSVM. Otherwise, close all browser windows completely first. Choose the Advanced tab in that "Java Control Panel" window that appears and open the APPLET section. Uncheck Microsoft Internet Explorer, click Apply, and you have officially turned OFF your Sun Java. If your online java games do not load properly afterward, you probably just need to download and actually install the other one (Microsoft VM).
You can switch between these two javas very conveniently in this manner. I'm pretty sure that somewhere on this site, I downloaded the Microsoft VM java. You can find it by searching, maybe type in Microsoft VM download in the search field. I'm no expert, believe me. If you search enough, the instructions are good. When I find good instructions that are quite detailed, I copy them from here and paste into a file on my local computer, building my own help file. But, all the help is here, you've just got to search a bit. Good luck!

I updated my Firefox and ended up having to reinstall Java.  After that, things have been running very nicely with the new update O0

I am not about to update anything on my system, it's all working oh-so-perfectly right this minute, LOL.
I have just GOT to share this:
I finally got a Pool badge by the old double browsering trick. I am as happy as a pig in you-know-what  ;)
Now all I gotta do is win 30 games of Hearts at 100 points a game. Sigh.   :'(  Then I'll be finished with 2003!!
