I don't think we should expect much from Icky Spears.  This goes to show she is a bad parent...I would have at least put the kid in his car seat.

She could have had Homer but Homer has Marge.  Which is a lot better.  Home does love marge doesn't he? ;D

The article I read said the Sheriff told the paper there was nothing they could do unless one of his deupties saw her doing it.....they can't do anything based on pictures alone.

There sure is a lot of "assuming" from 1 picture. It's her child, why worry what she does? Granted, it wasn't a good idea...neither is taking 1 million pictures of her with her baby. Security you suggest hiring can't do much. Is the baby ok? Yes,  so let it go. I can't believe noone here was ever allowed on mom or dads lap in the car to even "pretend drive."

Back when we rode on mom and dad's lap no one cared.....kids weren't getting hurt or killed back then.  People didn't drive and do crazy things back then.  Times have changed.  And it's more than 1 picture.  There's a baby seat in the car she could have put him back in.  There's a security guard in the front seat next to her she could have passed him off too....hmmmm maybe they don't put cupholders in big expensive SUV's like that so her bodyguard had to hold the coffee that's why he couldn't hold the kid right?!?

I must admit if it had been one of us, Mr or Ms Averge Joe Smuck and the local coppers saw lots of photos of one of us driveing around with a baby on our lap we would be getting a ticket for sure

I do not condone what she did with the age of the baby.How many of us can remember sitting on your parents or grandparents lap and holding the steering wheel and steering a vehicle?? I can at age 8.She should be atleast given a ticket or spend one night in jail.

i agree cranky..doesn't look a bit upset..and did you hear she's supposedly prego AGAIN???  children services needs to investigate her..that was damn ridiculous!!  i would NEVER do that with my kids!!  i won't even let my 8 yr old ride in the front seat!!

OK, I've seen it all here.. A woman my mother works with has a three year old that doesn't talk.  She just laughs it off and says, "Awww, he's ok, he just doesn't talk ha, ha, ha!" The kid has yet to see any kind of specialist as recommended by the pediatrician.  Then, there's the case of the parents down here whose child died from malnutrition because they fed the child nothing but pureed food.  The kid was 12 and weighed 30 pounds.  Then, there's the case of the woman I saw take her shoe off and beat her three year old with it.  This was at the mall, and by the time the police came, these folks were long gone.  I, personally, rode front and center, STANDING UP in the car between my parents as a child. 

I like Britney Spears, always have, so maybe that's why I'm taking her side... Or, maybe I just don't think it's that big of a deal.  Or, maybe it's just that I think I have MUCH MORE important things to worry about.  Like the state of the union.... Or the hungry and homeless... or what to pick for a personal challenge this week.  You kneaux?

Two words.... air bags.... yes, years ago some of us didn't even have car seats, or wear seatbelts and sat up front, or practiced "driving" on mommy or daddy's laps at as kids, not babies, but that was another time.  If one of these paparazzi that were "harassing her" got in front of her car and she had to brake hard the air bag would have killed the baby, it's more than obvious that no matter what in today's day and age an infant should never not be in a car seat.   my seveteen yr. old sister/new mom would never ever think to have my niece without a car seat and if there were photos of any of us non celebrities doing that we would be investigated whether or not a cop witnessed it.  Face it history shows that most celebs can get away with almost anything, even murder.  I would bet that if her son got hurt because of her unfit parenting, the authorities would be charging the paparazzi not Britney the one who really endangered the child.  Other celebs have kids and get hounded by the paparazzi but I haven't seen any of them do something so stupid, maybe because they know better!!!

I really don't have an opinion about this whole thing one way or the other but I will say this....I am SOOOOOOOOO glad no one follows ME around and taking pictures of the dumbazz things I have done in my life....lol
