I need to remove some of the free trial pogo to go games from my comp but they keep reappearing even when I remove the keys and do a search for pogo files that includes the hidden files and then removeing them. Is there something that I am not doing but need to?

Homer

Can't you delete them from your control panel with the add/remove program feature?

Is something showing up in your AV, Anti-Spyware or Adware scans? I am asking because I am 89.0% convinved that I downloaded a corrupted  version of Casino to Go. Scans found malware and on top of that, I paid for the full versions. Every time I run Casino Island, I find that the malware has popped back up in a Registry key. Thing is, I LIKE Casino Island to Go when Pogo is down. LOL.

I am running a very good AV suite ( or it's supposed to be). I downloaded Casino Island to Go ONE DAY before this particular malware had a  DAT def. file and removal tool. I've removed what I can, but every time I decide to play Hold Em Poker, I find pieces of the malware ( something that starts with a V like Virtumundo, but that's not the exact name) on my system. It caused all kinds of nasty things like slowing down my browser, redirecting URLs and changing my home page, but doesn't have the power to do any of that now.
Figures, eh?

IF I had it to do all over again, I would have gone to Comp USA and paid $9.00 for the same danged game I downloaded for $19.99. Watch out for things like that from Pogo.
Comp USA has almost all of the exclusive, token- generating Pogo To Go games at much better prices than Pogo's not so great downloads.

I've got the malware problem to. On top of that its taking up a lot of memory on my already to slow laptop. I thought it would be worth while to see if anyone else had figured out a solution for the problem.

I doubted it too, Homer. :)
However, from what I know about this particular nasty, there were NO definition files or removal tools available when I downloaded the game from a Pogo affiliate on Pogo's Games To Go site.
The DAT. definiteion files and removal tools were released 1 day later, meaning that it was propogating and a fix was needed.

I am careful about where I go and especially what I download. For instance, I had to disable all my security settings when I downloaded the BH agents, because there is no signature or valid certificate for the files. My computer fought me for a long time on those. :)

Using the principle of Occam's Razor, it is my hypothesis that the early downloads of at least Casino To Go contained the malware code sheerly by accident. ( I have other To Go games but don't play them because they are boring and the token payout is stingy).
I could be wrong, but I know the program was the only thing I downloaded in that period of time, that I do delete it completely from my system, and it reappears in a mild form only when I start up Casino Island to Go...

I still would advise people to buy the cheap CD at a computing store rather than downloading any of the Pogo To Go games from Pogo's website. This thing is not fun to find/ remove.
