Like i know that was an accident? Looks like its on purpose to me.. Like I know Brandon Lee got shot by accident on The Crow, thats BS. You should ALWAYS check the gun if it is loaded or not before start pointing it at people. Keep it away from children!

Not that I like Bush or Cheney but if it WAS NOT an accident it still wasen't necessarily Cheney's fault....this is directly from the CNN article on it:

Whittington shot a bird and went to look for it in the tall grass, while Cheney and the third hunter walked to another spot and discovered a second covey.

Whittington "came up from behind the vice president and the other hunter and didn't signal them or indicate to them or announce himself," Armstrong said.

"The vice president didn't see him," she continued. "The covey flushed and the vice president picked out a bird and was following it and shot. And by God, Harry was in the line of fire and got peppered pretty good."

Whittington has been a private practice attorney in Austin since 1950 and has long been active in Texas Republican politics. He's been appointed to several state boards, including when then-Gov. George W. Bush named him to the Texas Funeral Service Commission.

according to the report he's in stable condition after being "peppered" in the face, neck, and upper chest with birdshot......lol if I were stable after going through that I'd be whippin his as* VP or not lol

It happened at a ranch outside of my hometown - CC TX - too funny! My mom used to work in the hospital that the man is recovering - my own dad just got back from a hunting trip to that very same ranch - thank god my dad wasn't there with Cheney!!!! :D

I would thank God also that your dad was there when Cheney was. I do not think Cheney will get in any trouble, because Bush will protect his back. Isn't that how all the Presidents do there so called job?

Doesn't this make Cheney the second VP to have been involved in a shooting...the first being Aaron Burr who was involved in a duel during his Vice Presidency?
