My Mom's Mom came up with this I was told they were poor and it was what was she had to work with

Ingredients

1 cup creamed corn (can)
3 small cans tomato sauce
1 green pepper diced (seperated into 2 even portions)
1 onion diced (seperated into 2 even portions)
1 cup uncooked white rice
1lb hamburger (cooked, browned)
Salt and Pepper

Preheat oven to 350*

she used a medium sized almost round type casserole dish or whatever you got that will work

put rice on bottom
pour creamed corn over rice
1 part onion and 1 part green pepper next
now 1 can tomato sauce
now the browned hamburger
and the rest of the green pepper and onion
now the last 2 cans of tomato sauce
top with salt and pepper

cover pan with foil  put in oven (in my experience you might wanna put a cookie sheet under the pan or drippings will fall into oven and start smoking)

says to cook for 2 hrs or ?  I found it needed to be cooked a little longer and maybe a bit of water mixed in with the first can of tomato sauce to cook the rice better. After several times making this a thin layer of rice still wouldn't cook all the way on the top before the creamed corn and I can't figure out why. Its good its cheap easy and Don't ask me to clean the pan after its used, if you make it you will see why. Enjoy we  did!  30 year + recipe

this is about what it cost for me to make this meal-

creamed corn 1 can 44 cents on sale
3 small cans tomato sauce (generic) 17 cents a piece
green pepper 89 cents on sale
onion 39 cents lb
2 1/4lb hamburger  $2.34 at clearance meat section (only used 1 lb.)
