It may help if we knew the school's rules on that.   I know my kids school you can only bring in store bought things,   nothing made from home.  Also what time of day do the kids eat the snacks?   Morning,  afternoon?

I have a couple ideas.......but may not work depending on how the school does it.  First,   You could make some yogurt cups.  Yogurt and and fruit,  or jello and fruit.......or even some sugar free pudding.   But those are mostly home made items that the school may not allow.

When my son went to morning kindergarten I brought in donuts for his birthday.   Sure they were sugary,   but in my opinion not as bad as cupcakes.

How old is your daughter?   Maybe her own ideas would help.

Our schools will only let us bring in store bought items as well (food allergy issues). My daughter celebrated her birthday at school today. After V-day candy, grampy's b-day cake on Friday and hers on sunday, last thing on any of our minds was sugar. We took a trip to the party supply store and bought lots of cheap party favors and made goody bags. Yo-yos, bubbles, play-do, beads & string to make bracelets, etc. The teachers were thrilled that they didn't have to deal with the kids all hopped up on sugar and the kids went nuts over their 'treats'  O0

Try thinks like "Ants on a stick" it is celery with peanut butter spread on it and then covered with raisins.  I loved when my mom made them for me.  You can choose any kind of vegtable they your children like.  I will try and think about a few more my mom used to make for my brother and I and then post it.   sp.gf

Everyone had such great ideas !!

I ended up feeling a little creative (For me who doesnt cook) .. and I mixed up a 'spread' of cream cheese, a touch of sour cream, broccoli florets, and carrots .. you put the florets and carrots in the food processor, to chop them fine - mix it with the cream cheese - and just enough sour cream to make it spreadable .. spread that mixture onto a burrito size taco shell .. then you roll em up, and slice em. Make a great finger food, the kids dont realize how healthy they are because they taste good.
