About a week ago or so I bought the Whackster Auto for Whackdown.   I posted on here that it was freezing up at the end of the game and i'd have to control,  alt,  delete to close out the window and close out pogo and go back and try again.   Blah Blah Blah,   anyways,   Few days ago I went to badgehelp and downloaded the auto again and this time got v1.2 (i had 1.1 before).  The problem appeared to have fixed itself (I believe the problem was it was hitting new game too fast and that confused the game and made it freeze,    1.2 waits a sec to hit new game).  That first day it ran with absolutely no problems at all,  and I was thrilled.  Then all of a sudden I had more problems,  but in a different way.  Now,  instead of freezing.....once it hits new game,   the screen will pop up where you click yes or no,   then suddenly absolutely nothing will happen.   The cursor in the word box will still blink,    the game itself isn't frozen,  it's just not doing anything.  I don't think this is actually an auto issue,   since the auto seems to be doing everything it's supposed to.  I think it's a game issue.   I was just wondering if anyone else was dealing with this issue,  or if anyone knew how to combat this issue.   I've put the auto on every speed setting and it still happens.    I play on hard difficulty.
As I said,  I don't think it's the auto,  but if you want my specs anyways......here they are

windows xp
IE
sun java
smooth edges off
32
screen resolution 800x600 (has always been on this,   trying the other makes no difference)
whackster v1.2

i think that's all

I've been sittin here watching it go for past couple weeks,   everytime it freezes i close it and start it again.    When I bought it i was on z4,   now i'm z12.......so i'm getting somewhere,  just very slowly,  LOL.

i use mole miner on this one i find it better than whackster and it plays smoothly,

Nearly all the autos are designed to run on 1024x768 screen res,

Hope this helps you.

mole miner won't work at all for me,   i've tried it a bunch of times and it just sits there.....followed all the instructions,   still nothing..........whackster worked great for the free trial,   so i bought that one,   the freezing started after i'd already bought it.   I have to be very picky with what auto's i can buy,   cuz we're very short on cash. I've tried changing the screen res and it still didn't help.......and i prefer this screen res better,   easier for me to see.

I personally don't use Internet Explorer...but from everything I have read on this site, I believe the autos work better in IE with MSVM rather than Sun Java...

I can't help ya with how to change it, but I know its been discussed at least 50 times so...you should be able to search for it and find out how...

Good Luck!

Mary

you don't have to reboot your computer, just close the browser and open a new one  :)

As far as I know,  only sun java is installed on my computer.   Also,   I occasionally use firefox to double browse,  and firefox will only work with sun java,   so not sure how to make it so IE uses one and firefox uses the other.
