People love Clay.  It was the biggest surprise for me. I went to AI boards for Season 2 to see what everyone was saying about Clays big surprise and found a link to some pretty neat AI stuff.

Vocally, the best song of the night is the duet between Elliott Yamin and Mary J. Blige. It sounds great and there seems to still be a lot of affection for Elliott from the pro-Taylor fan base.

Mary J. Blige totally upstaged Elliott, but he sure sounded great in their duet. He also showed that he's a class act by not trying to upstage her in return.



Now for something funny, which I totally agree

And Taylor's duet with Toni Braxton was a fascinating train wreck. Did she even know the words? If she didn't, it might explain why she seemed to think it was appropriate to give Taylor a lapdance. Or maybe she was just upset because she realized that she accidentally wore a babydoll nightgown onto stage instead of a dress.

Anyways, bookmark this and when you get time go look. It's not all about Clay in it.

I have to ask something. Didnt he USED to be blonde?  Or at least alot lighter?  Dont get me wrong, Im all about guys taking an effort with their hair .. Im just askin.

i agree with you, foxx. i like clay as well. but to see prince come out of the rooms he lives in and get on a non-award program to perform, thereby giving a nod to AI, to me, was the icing on the cake.

No, never blonde. It was lighter and red in color though. He looks much older and mature to me. Hes like 1/2 my age but hes my favorite American Idol ever...
