LOL..She's bound and determined to become famous. I guess doing that gig on the TV Channel counts for something..lol

David has like 8 hits in the top 50 already. His songs he did on AI are on there..I wonder how that happens. Well David A's song is like number 43 or 34. :)))

I dont watch this show, I despise it actually. But a girl from my town is on her way down south somewhere this weekend to audition for AI! She has an amazing voice. So when the next season start I will have to atleast watch to see if I can see her.

'Idol' Adds New Judge

Simon Cowell last week promised changes on "American Idol," and Fox followed through today, announcing that a fourth judge will be added to the show throughout the eighth season. Grammy-nominated songwriter Kara DioGuardi will fill a new fourth seat on the judges' table this season.

"We are turning the heat up on 'Idol' this year and are thrilled to welcome Kara to the judges' table," creator and executive producer Simon Fuller said in a press release. "She is a smart, sassy lady, and one of America's most successful songwriters. We know she will bring a new level of energy and excitement to the show."

Simon Cowell and his longtime girlfriend, Terri Seymour, have broken up, Us Weekly reports.

"They broke up about a month ago. It was Terri's idea, not Simon's," Cowell's rep, Max Clifford, said. "Simon is doing alright, but they were together a long time and so you can understand that it's going to be a strange time."

The acerbic American Idol judge, who has been vocal against settling down, and the Extra correspondent dated for six years, but the split "wasn't a shock or a surprise" to either party.

Clifford added that the twosome remain close friends who speak frequently. As for a possible reconciliation, "only Simon and Terri know that."

This is starting back up again in just a few weeks. :///

This next season is gonna be weird with a 4th judge. I like that they're bringing back the wildcard round though.

I have a feeling she will sit in between Paula and Randy, or next to Randy so it'll go Simon, Paula, Randy, Kara.
I think having a new judge will be weird as well, but Kara DioGuardi is an amazing artist and songwriter, she knows her stuff.

Wow, they are bringing back the wildcard? Wasnt that only used in the first season?

I think they stopped it after the 3rd season. I remember Jennifer Hudson had to get a wildcard, and she was in season 3, so I know they did it then. :-\

So this year it'll be top 32...they'll divide them randomly into groups of 8.
1st week of top 32: 1st group of 8 will perform, 2 will move on to the top 12
2nd week: 2nd group of 8 will go, 2 will move on to the top 12
3rd week: 3rd group of 8, 2 will move on to the top 12
4th week: 4th group of 8, 2 will move on to the top 12.
5th week: Wildcard round. 8 people chosen by the judges who didn't advance to the top 12 already.... they perform, top vote getter gets a wildcard, then each of the 3 judges gives out a wildcard to a person who didn't make it... and then that's the top 12.

So instead of 3 weeks of top 24, we're gonna have 5 weeks of top 32. :-\

I just LOVED Chris Sligh - he played here in sandy egoo at an obscure club and it was nice to see that it was packed. He had originality which is something many of the other Idols did not/do not have. Paula, Randy and Simon seem to want to have something in their mind about what their winner is before the season begins. And I was surprised that Chris got as far as he did as he just was not the "norm".

I was wondering if she fell of the face of the earth, yet she just went on tour with Reba McEntire last month. That picture doesn't even look like her.

That picture (and the album cover) photoshopped the crap out of Kelly (her words.)

I am a KC fan, I have heard a 30 second clip of her single, It's pretty catchy. I really enjoyed her last cd, and its kind of a shame it didnt get promoted well because no one in her record company believed in it.. It'll be nice to see her back in the pop world though.
