He starred in such TV series as "Mike Hammer", "Riverboat", and "Kolchak: The Night Stalker".  The most important role (IMHO) was as the grupmy dad in "A Christmas Story".  That has to be one of my fav all times movies...I watch it year round........RIP

i love the christmas sory movie!  he was also in billy madison as adam sandlers dad..and that is sooo sad about don knotts..i watch andy with my fiance all the time..     :'(     :'(     :'(
