Video Games

  Hey ya'll. I love me some good dungeon crawling games. I'm so into RPG games. I only own a PS2 for now and want to upgrade as soon as I can afford to.
  I Love 'Wizardry 8' , Darkstone, Bauldar's Gate, and all of the Tomb Raider series. I also am a big fan of Final Fantasy, with one exception.....I want to play the games, not watch them.
  Can anyone recommend me a hot game to buy along these lines? I am up for ps2 games or pc games for the moment. I dunno whether or not I want a ps3 or an xbox yet. I want the one with the most dungeon crawling stuff. Any ideas I'd appreciate. I'll be sure to check out their reviews and do some shopping. It doesn't have to be new games exactly either. I am very behind on my games collection thanx to pogo.

I don't recommend getting Fullmetal Alchemist or Xenosaga 2 both were duds in my opinion. :(

  Tyvm Homer,

        You remind me of one of my older games I have, Xenogears. While the game itself is wonderful, it has its annoyances. Again, this is one of those games that would be great if only it could be played more than watched. There are cut scenes in that game that literally take up to an hour to play out (no way to ff thru).
        I'm one of those dweebs that likes to do everything possible in a game. If I see I've missed something, I prefer to restart and correct what I missed. This is a terrible thing in a game like that.

I do what I see. I don't go nuts if something isn't done. I just move on if I can. I loved Xenogears but your right about the watching part. There is way too much watching in many of todays RPG's. Fortunately in some games you can press the start button to stop the video and move on with the game although I do like to watch them just so I can keep up with the storyline.

Also, since you mentioned Gamestop.com, Just to let ya'll know I just got hired as a Gamestop Manager!! Woo-hoo!! I've always be in retail management, mostly ladies apparel, but NOW I get to combine my love for Gaming and retail, How cool is that? Thanks for the tips I also used a FAQ from www.gamefaqs.com which helped immensely especially for the barrel roll stunt. O0

BTW, Guess what came today? WooHoo! God of War! I'm going to finish GTA first though. Time to return Bloodrayne 2. What a crappy game. :( The first one was much better. ;)

Hey Homer,  I finished God Of War the other night !!! :D :D It was soooooo sweet!!! 5 million thumbs up O0 O0 O0 O0 O0 I am gonna play it in GOD MODE now, wish me luck!  I'm also playing Psychonauts too, its pretty good,  Congrats to finshing GTA!! That is a feat in itself!!!

Thanks. I just started GOW. I'm having trouble using Medusa's stare. Your supposed to hold down L2 and the square button together but it doesn't seem to work for me. I must be doing it wrong or something. LOL

to be honest homer, i rarely used medusa's gaze after i aquired it, just for that level, and it became useless to me, i upgraded every thing else except for that---u are doing it right though by the way, i checked the  manual that came with the game and ur right with  what u hold down, make sure though u are lined up with the enemy before u blast away, i noticed that u may have to hold it for like 5-6 seconds before they totally freeze, but it doesnt last long, if u upgrade it, it will hold them longer, but i didnt use it after that level, go figure lol, good luck and let me know how ur doing as u go along, this game is gonna be game of the year for ps2 for sure, if not over all game of the year!!

Yeah....I know I'm doing it wrong. LOL I'll figure it out. If I hadn't been greedy and maxed out my weapon I could have upgraded this and made it a lot easier. Oh well. Live and learn. Thanks.

hey Homer, I'm trying GOD mode in GOW, and ohhh myy----it is sooooo hard--i think it's gona take a god to beat it! How id GOW treating you? well HAGD, talk with ya soon, and i brought home Killer 7 to try out as well, it is very weird!!

ok, my fellow GOW gamer--what do u think? This game has got game of the year ALL over it it!!! I know it!!  It is hands down the best PS2 game out there right now and i have my fingers crossed for it to win in G-Phoria for best original game! Happy Gaming! O0

It's pretty good but I thought it should be longer. I know I only have a few challenges until the end. I made it to The Architects Tomb. :D

GOW is the best game of the year on the PS2, but i think Resident Evil for the gamecube will get game of the year at G-Phoria. Can't wait for RE to be released on PS2.  :)

Finished God of War. BTW Ares was a total wuss. Just use Army of Hades and whip him into submission. The story was very cool and the cut scenes were great. Now I'm waiting for the latest Arc the Lad RPG to come in. Should have it tomorrow. :D
