about the new video poker

this about the game where the badges look like tri peaks. so far they have two names theyre deciding on "multi hand video poker" and "lost temple poker" could be more names too.and the site said the rank graphics for all fifty ranks are made up of all old badges so far but could change.  :P

In the image it appears that you are dealt 20 identical hands and you choose to which cards to hold, then you dealt new random cards to fill in the unheld cards from each hand.  There are special bonus cards that you can use or hold on to as well, the Escape Card, Adventure Card, etc, though I don't know what any of those cards do.

The Basics

Lost Temple Poker is a variant of multi-hand video poker you may have seen being played in casinos. In multi-hand poker, the number of hands multiplies your initial wager and chances to win, with higher payouts for bigger wagers. Lost Temple Poker has 21 hands. This version of the game expands the deck to 53 cards, adding one Wild Card to the deck.

After placing your wager, you are dealt 5 cards. You may hold from 1 to 5 of these cards, and each held card will appear in each of your other 20 hands. When you've selected the cards you wish to hold and hit the "Draw" button, the discards are then replaced with new cards, randomly chosen for each hand. If any of your 21 hands includes a winning combination, you will receive prize tokens based on the rank of each hand. If any hand includes a wildcard, the wildcard will act as the card for the highest value winning hand possible.

A mini-game plays concurrently with the poker game. Tex Carter, adventurer and treasure hunter, must cross a booby-trapped bridge to get to the Lost Temple. If he makes it across the bridge, you will be rewarded with a bonus game and a Jackpot Spin. Tex advances using special "Adventure cards" that may appear during the Deal. There are 5 Adventure cards:

   1. Advance 1 - Tex automatically advances to the next position after the draw.
   2. Advance 2 - Tex automatically advances two positions after the draw.
   3. Random - Tex has a 50/50 chance of advancing or getting hit with a trap.
   4. Escape - A saved card that turns a trapped card result into an "advance."
   5. Cliffhanger - Win more than you wager and Tex will advance.

Adventure Cards must be held to activate, but otherwise act as regular cards.

The Free Play: For every 50 games of Lost Temple Poker you play, you will be rewarded with a free play (akin to a frequent player bonus in a real casino). When this announcement comes up, click the OK button for your free Deal.


Object of the Game

The object of Lost Temple Poker is to create as many winning poker hands as possible with the two rounds of cards you'll receive. The better the poker hands, the more game tokens you will receive. Game tokens can be redeemed for tickets to our prize drawings or to purchase items for your Pogo Minis (Club Pogo only).

Winning hands will pay out tokens as shown in the payout chart to the left of the cards. If you get a Wild Card, the game will determine what card would give you the biggest payout, and count it as though it were that card. Wild Card variations of winning hands are paid the same as natural ones.

A secondary objective is to get Tex Carter to the Lost Temple using special Adventure cards. The cards sometimes appear during the Deal sequence and are activated by holding them. There are 5 different Adventure cards with varied functions, but as a general rule playing these cards will help Tex cross the Bridge and get you to the Bonus Round and Jackpot Spin.


Gameplay

Upon launching Lost Temple Poker, you'll notice the video poker-style "Bet One" and "Bet Max" buttons flashing at the bottom of the screen. Your token count will be displayed in the upper right-hand corner, which will increase and/or decrease as you win and lose.

Before you can play, you must first place a wager. You can bet 1 to 3 tokens per hand, per game. The more tokens you risk, the greater the reward (as indicated by the payout chart on the left side of the game). Use the Bet One button to increase your bet on a hand in increments of 1 token per hand (increments of 21 Tokens per game). When you've decided on a bet, you can click the Deal button to draw your first set of five cards. The Bet Max button will automatically bet 3 tokens per hand (63 Tokens) for you and deal your first five cards. The initial deal is identical for all 21 hands.

To be successful in Lost Temple Poker, you have to have an understanding of the basic poker hands and which ones are worth more than others. Even though the values of the winning hands are listed in the payout chart to the left of the game, it's best to commit the hands to memory or refer to this help page when playing.

Lost Temple Poker uses one (1) standard of 53 playing cards (13 cards in each of the four suits: Hearts , Clubs , Diamonds , and Spades ) plus two wild Joker cards). Cards are ranked in the following order: 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, J, Q, K, A. Wild cards count as the cards that would give you the highest payout. The lowest winning hand (that will return you some tokens) is two pairs.

Once you've evaluated your Deal, you need to choose which cards to hold and which ones to discard. Click on the card or the Hold button underneath each card you'd like to hold. Next, press the Draw button for your second (and final) set of cards. Note: From time to time, you will be dealt a winning hand, such as a full house, that you do not want a second draw for. Simply hold all of the winning cards and then press the Draw button to make all of your other hands match the initial deal.

After hitting the Draw button, the cards you held will remain, while the cards you discarded will be randomly replaced by new cards from the deck for each set of 21 hands. You will receive tokens for each winning hand, and those tokens will be listed in the Payout window at the bottom of the screen. Adventure cards, if any, will play themselves out next. You can now begin the process again.


Bonus Round

Getting Tex Carter to the Lost Temple will earn you a play in the Bonus Round. When the Lost Temple screen appears, you will see 4 sets of face down cards. Click on a card to reveal it. Keep clicking on the cards until you find a treasure card (150, 300, and 500 tokens). If you find a treasure card, you will receive the treasure card tokens plus 10 additional tokens for every card you have revealed.

Your ultimate goal, however, is to find the Royal Flush (which is contained in one of the 4 hands). Finding the Royal Flush will earn you 1,000 tokens, plus 10 additional tokens for every card you have revealed!

The Bonus Round is followed by a Jackpot Spin, giving you some extra incentive to get Tex across the bridge as quickly as possible!


JACKPOT

Help Tex across the booby-trapped bridge to get your Jackpot spin. The spin will be preceeded by the Bonus Round.
