slow cooker bbq chicken?

Do you think it would be ok to throw in some chicken legs and a jar or so of bbq sauce in the slow cooker and just let sit all day?    Usually hubby grills them,   but I thought maybe doing this would allow me to have them on a night he works late also..........cuz i don't use the grill.  Lemme know what ya think

Ive done it with ribs .... dont see why you cant do it with legs. Just make sure theyre covered with sauce, and keep it on low.

it prolly will be ok but if it was me i would remove the skin cause it will most likely get totally mushy and create too much grease

I have done it with chicken breast and thighs etc....  The meat just falls right off the bone  !@! :pp  very good

 Barbecue Chicken

1 Frying chicken; cut up
1 cn Condensed tomato soup
3/4 c  Onion; chop
1/4 c  Vinegar
3 tb Brown sugar
1 tb Worcestershire sauce
1/2 ts Salt
1/4 ts Sweet basil
1/4 ts Thyme

Place chicken in slow cooking pot. Combine all other ingredients and pour over chicken. Cover tightly and cook at LOW for 6 to 8 hours.

Barbecued Spareribs

5 lb Spare ribs
2 tb Vinegar
1/2 c  Catsup
1/4 ts Salt
2 tb Brown sugar
1/2 ts Hickory smoke salt (or liquid smoke and salt)
1/2 c  Steak sauce
1 ts Minced onion

Place spareribs on rack in baking pan.  Brown in a 400 degree oven for 15 minutes; turn and brown on other side for 10 ot 15 minutes. Drain fat and put ribs in crock pot. Combine remaining ingredients and pour over ribs. Cover and ccok on low 6 to 8 hours.
Makes  5 to 6 servings
