That's climate change for you - this year we didn't even get "iceburgs" floating down the Niagara River from the upper lakes. I live very close to where the Niagara River meets Lake Ontario, and just a few years ago the shallows would freeze up, some years up to 20 meters out into the lake.

During this time, women were required to remain fully dressed until they entered a bathing carriage to change into their swimsuits. Once inside, someone would push the carriage into the ocean, allowing the women to enter the water in privacy, without being seen in their swimsuits.
