1 lb Ground Chuck
1 packet Taco Seasoning Mix
1 medium size jar Salsa (mild, Med, Hot - whatever you prefer)
2 8 oz package Cream Cheese, slightly softened
2 cups Shredded Cheese

Brown the ground chuck. Drain as much grease as possible out. Mix in taco seasoning, and amount of water as directed on the taco seasoning. Stir in the jar of salsa ( I usually drain most of the water out of the salsa) - Mix well.

Spread the cream cheese into the bottom of a 9x11 pan ( I usually use disposable because I take it to parties). Spread the taco/salsa mix over the top, sprinkle cheese on top of it all.

Bake at 300 for 10-15 minutes or until cheese is melted on top.  Serve with taco chips, I prefer the Tostios Scoops.

Sounds good!  I've never had made it w/ beef before.  A few of my friends are vegetarians, so I have to make it a little different:

The base
16 oz. cream cheese (softened)
8 oz. sour cream
2 packets of taco seasoning

In a blender, combine the cream cheese & sour cream until you get a smooth consistency, but not runny (that's the trick).  Once it's about ready, add the taco seasoning; if you add it too soon, I've found that it sometimes clumps.  Spread into a serving dish/tray, and refrigerate.  I usually make this either the night before, or the morning of, the day I need it.

*OOOPS* forgot to mention, I usually spread it into a 1/4 inch layer or so.

The toppings
1 bottle of your favorite taco sauce
2 cups of cheese (I usually use pepper jack or a cheddar/monterray jack mix)
2 medium tomatoes - diced
1/4 head of lettuce - shredded
1/2 medium onion - diced (can also substitute chopped scallions)
1/2 cup black olives - sliced
1/2 cup pickled jalapenos - sliced (I use this because some of my friends are sensitive to intensely spicy foods)

When your ready to serve, take and spread the cheese over the mixture; save about a half cup for the finish.  Add the layer of lettuce.  Drizzle with taco sauce (to taste).  Add the tomatoes & onions.  Apply the remaining cheese, and top with the black olives & jalapenos.

I usually serve it with Manny's Blue tortilla chips, or the Tostito's Limes.

Properly printed and ready to make ..sounds so goooood..  ;D
