question about counter in spademaid

i love playing spades and would love to have just the counter but when i click on setting in the new spadesmaid version it will still play the game for me
what else do i need to do to just have the counter running and nothing else?
the settings button is checked

SpadeMaid plays pogo Spades for you. For all of you SpadeHeads that prefer to do it yourself but just need a spade counter....relief has come. Click the SETTINGS tab and you have a counter. If you buy or have bought SpadeMaid you get the counter for free. Either let it play your pogo game for you or use the counter to keep track of the cards on pogo.com spades.

but i have to figure out how to have the counter running alone
when i have the settings clicked and the start button it plays the game for me
I do NOT want it to play..I wanna play myself and just have the counter running
but when i click on pause everything including counter stops

soooo..... is there anything else i need to do to just have the counter running
any answer from the BH gods would be greatly appreciated

i dont think it can do it that way you have to have it on :)

By the sound of this intro on badgehelp.com, it appears there is a way to use the counter all by itself.  I'm sorry, I don't know how but hopefully someone from badgehelp will answer your question soon.

The counter helps count what cards been played so you know when it's a good time to play a trump or if the opponent might play a trump.
