I'm having homemade meatballs and homemade sauce.   So pround of me cuz I've never done either of them homemade before.    Didn't turn out real bad,   but next time I will add more spices,    was a touch bland.

What kind of spices would you put in your spaghetti sauce?    I used garlic, oregano,  and a couple bay leaves,   sure needed more though.

Beer. It's not just for breakfast anymore.  :o :P :))

I'm in the wrong place but it's nice to see you around Homer. Was starting to think all the admin was having a meeting and left a "virus" running around the boards.

And beer.... it will never get old!

I use garlic .. and well, enough that the vampires dont bother us for a few days =)  Onion, green pepper, and I leave a little bit of the fat from the meat in there, for flavor (Not alot mind you - but I dont drain the meat completely)

That's what I did cling,   I put the meatballs and sauce right in the slow cooker and cooked em that way,    and occasionally skimmed some of the grease out,  but of course I couldn't get it all.   My husband wouldn't touch anything with onions or peppers in it,   so I'm really looking for just spices.    Maybe next time I'll just grab anything that looks like green flakes and toss it in,   course if I eat it all by myself and am still hungry afterwards with an extremely dry mouth......we'll know it wasn't oregano  O0

Lol!!  Actually - one time I did put onions and green peppers on and he never noticed, because I let them cook long enough in the sauce that they were soft .. and it was the crunchiness that he actually disliked.   And for my sauce, I toss in mushrooms - but thats because I can tell my daughters mushrooms are in it and they will eat anything that way - and I do mean anything .. Ive had to make a roast with mushrooms on top to get em to eat it

I'm not the kind of person who likes "instant" stuff (I love to cook) .. but I've been sick the last couple of days and found something that was actually pretty good.

It's called "Skillet Sensations - Chicken Alfredo". I had it for dinner tonight. What really surprised me was that when it was done, the vegetables were still very crisp. It had a decent amount of chicken too.

So if your tired one night and don't feel up to cooking, I'd recommend checking it out.

It was very good and only took 10 min to cook.  O0
Nothing spoils a good story like the arrival of an eyewitness.

Bree

Sounds good to me Mayhem and I will try it out tomorrow night.

Thanks for the handy and fast cooking Dinner idea. O0

I've had the Skillet Sensations and they are good, but you have to be careful of the sodium content in stuff like that because it is usually very high.

If anyone has a problem with sodium intake, then do not add extra salt to the Skillet Sensations dinner. :)
