About that Tiki Guy from Lost Temple: Who's Right, Me or My Boyfriend?

Dear Editor,

My boyfriend and I are having a friendly disagreement about the Tiki guy in Lost Temple Poker. I say he's "hopping mad" when you win a hand and my boyfriend says he's cheering. Who's right? Anyway, we both love the game, the mini's and Pogo in general. Thanks to the designers and programmers for all their work to bring us this great entertainment site.

Editor: Well, this one had me stumped! So, I went to Erik W., the game's producer, and this is what he had to say:

It's no secret that the tiki brothers disagree on just about everything, including their feelings about Tex Carter. "Red" (the tiki with the red-striped mask) is filled with joy every time Tex takes a fall, while "Green" (the tiki at the bottom of the screen with, well, the green striped mask) feels sorry for Tex and celebrates his every advance.<b><u> The sibling rivalry doesn't end there, as the twins are bitter rivals in Pogo's upcoming "Shuffle Bump" game. You should see them fight over the remote!</b></u>

Seriously, though, the original design had both tribesman act as antagonists. In early development "Green" would cheer every time Tex fell or had a poor payout, but we found it was too negative and the tribesman looked more cute/ funny than mean. Thus, we decided he would be the "good twin", and instead of cheering a fall the tribesman acts as a cheerleader. We think it works aside from the little bit of confusion it may cause. Besides, we'd hate to stereotype giant-tiki-mask-wearing tribesman; they aren't all bad!


So does this mean the current version we are playing is just a test?

Or am I not seeing where the tiki brothers are?

for me this is the biggest token dump. i already own every single man and women item in the mini mall. i have dumped about 19 million tokens obtaining everything they have. temple poker just sucks the tokens right down. just my experience.
