this recipe is very hot with 10 jalapenos you can use just a few if you like..and you must fire up the BBQ  O0
Mesquite salsa

6 medium tomatoes
10 Jalapeno's ( red is best if you can find them)
1 small onion
2 cloves garlic
3 table spoons chopped fresh cilantro
2 table spoons salt
1 1/2 teaspoons mesquite flavored liquid smoke

preheat grill to high temp
remove stems from tomatoes, then rub oil over tomatoes.
you can leave stems on jalapeno's while grilling

place tomatoes on grill after about 10 min put jalapeno's on grill
when the surface of the jalapeno's are charred black you can remove from grill
the tomatoes will turn part black when the skin starts to come off they are done
put peppers and tomatoes on plate and let cool
remove skin from tomatoes
pinch the stem off of peppers and place peppers and tomatoes in food processor
add remaining ingredients and puree on high for 5-10 seconds or until mixture has a smooth consistancy
chill for several hours or overnight

Sounds good but what may I ask is Liquid Smoke - sounds dangerous to me lol  :;"

Liquid smoke is just that ..it makes foods have a smoked flavor when you cant just throw it in a chief smoker. you can usually find in grocery dept around spices but heck they change the isles alot so just ask  O0

looks like a browning gravy bottle. Just be careful it is very eay to use 2 much!
