i am going to las vegas for my daughter's wedding. does anyone know anything about the stratosphere hotel? i did check it out online. still trying to decide if i want to arrive thursday morning or friday morning..........

are there some good places to eat? can i win lots of money? should i BRING lots of money?  :))

I've never stayed at the Stratosphere. It's down at the very end of the Strip and not really in walking distance of much. Cabs are always accessible though. If the wedding is on Saturday, a Thursday arrival would probably be better as it will give you time to get situated and not be rushed.

If you can't find a good place to eat in Vegas I'd be surprised. Most of the casinos have very good food, it just depends on what you're looking for and how much you're willing to pay.

Can you win lots of money? Sure you can if you're lucky. You can also lose lots tooooooo. How much money to bring? If it's for gambling, only take what you can afford to lose.

If you have any more questions you can PM me. My son lives there and I can give you lots of info.  O0

i took your advice and i am flying in on thursday evening. next plan will be to get checked in and eat, lol. ty helen.

You're welcome Krispy. If you need any more info, just ask.

I went to Vegas 3 yrs ago (First trip with no kids) and had more fun than I remember   8)

My best suggestion? Stick $10 in a nickle slot machine and just enjoy the free drinks!!!   O0

yes indeed. U must hit the casino while u r there u can"t go to vasas without gambling. Go to spansh 21 and bet nothing less then 500.00 per hand. then after awhile head for the craps table and again place nothing less 500.00 per hand. Then by this time u should be rich and now go and have fun in vegas O0

Rule #1: Don't listen to 75% of things The Hippo says. It will only lead you down the wrong path
Rule #2: Don't listen to 100% of anything from jim. It's all BS and is used for entertainment purposes only (kinda like having your palm read)

now how could i possibly not listen to 75% of what you say? does that mean you are perfect only 25% of the time?  ;D

That's a good suggestion. If you get lucky on the nickle slots you can always move up to the quarter ones.

As for the drinks....make up a list of drinks that you'd like to try. If you don't like them, you haven't wasted any money!!

Oh no, it will be the "perfect" advice to get yourself into trouble 100% of the time. It's up to you if you think what I say belongs in the 75% or the 25%  >:D
