lmao...my friend and I kinda evolved from calling each other "Punkin Pie" to "punkin" to "punkie"...so, that's why...

BUT...OMG...I so loved Punky Brewster when I was little.  My mom wouldn't buy me two pairs of chuck taylors so that I could wear one of each...I just had the one pink pair...so I colored the other one this wierd shade of bluish-purple with a Sharpie...

Man, was she pissed. 

I also used to tie a bandanna around my legs, wear jean jacket vests with heart shaped buttons on them...
Gawd, I loved her.
