Can't send PM's

Mayhem, I tried to send a PM to Mr Scandalous to let him know that I was not picking on him but was very passionate about the subject matter in the "Speaking English" thread. I keep getting a message saying Many apologies You cannot just PM anyone (or words to that effect). I tried to PM everyone who was on the forum at that point , including you and kept getting the same message. Is there something wrong in the system, or have I unintentionally done something wrong? I sure didn't mean to if that's the case. Will you please help me out?

I get that message sometimes, too, but normally you have to log out, then back in and it should work, at least it has for me.

I know you weren't. Why did you think that - because I left? It's 5:00 A.M. here, plus you made some good points that I couldn't really go against... but you did good. We're all entitled to our opinion and I know that. I'm not offended if you think that. You just happened to have better reasoning... doesn't mean I totally agree with it, but it's there somewhat.

well, it was a good thought but I still can't initiate a PM with anyone on the forum now. Maybe tomorow when I wake up it will have resolved itself. It's 1AM Hawaiian time so I'm off to bed real soon.

Damn, it's near 6:00 A.M. here and I think I'm up for the day. I slept for like four hours earlier and got up at 2:00 or so, I can't remember. If I get tired, I can always nap.

I get really passionate about a few subjects and thats one of them Mr S I try to treat everyone respectfully but sometimes the typed word does not reflect that. Just wanted to make sure you read my messages the way they were meant ;)

lol, it's alright. I understand how you feel and you're entitled to it. I didn't know what else to say after that... just couldn't bite it off.

Luckily i had a message saved,I just hit reply and was able to get one to send that way.

I think I know what the problem is...If someone will help me here?

You can't view anyones profiles but your own. If you are trying to PM from using the profile it won't work. You have to use the white icon under the persons name to PM. Would someone please try that ( I already posted this in the Hijack thread) But anyways see if thats what the problem is

That's because in your profile you have it set to send emails everytime replies are made to the topic. I changed it. You shouldn't get any more emails.

That's because in your profile you have it set to send emails everytime replies are made to the topic. I changed it. You shouldn't get any more emails.
