Imma gonna make this for my multi-ethnic BBQ.  I'm thinking even the non-English speakers like cake, no?  :;"

Serves 12

Mix up and bake your favorite cake mix or recipe. Let cool.

Slice 1 cup of strawberries, set aside. Halve remaining strawberries, set aside.

Top cake (in pan) with 1 cup sliced strawberries, 1 cup blueberries and all of the whipped topping. Arrange remaining strawberry halves and blueberries on whipped topping to create a flag design. Refrigerate until ready to serve.

Didn't you just post a recipe?  Aren't I allowed to ask questions about your recipe? Why do you feel the need to 3rd degree me about a recipe you posted and that I wanted to ask a question about?  Gawd, some people are so sensitive.  >:D

Looks good - I have made a cake like this before, but the recipe I used had you poke holes in the cake and poor jello over it first.  So beneath the whip cream, strawberries and blueberries was a very moist jello cake.  I can try to find it if anyone is interested.

ArmyWife

Found the recipe for the Jello Flag cake!  Yummy!

1 box white cake mix
2 (3 oz.) boxes cherry or strawberry flavored jello
2 cups boiling water
8 oz. container Cool Whip non-dairy whipped topping, thawed
2 pints fresh strawberries, sliced in half lengthwise (Note: Rinse whole and then slice. Dry on paper towels before using)
1-1/2 cups fresh or canned blueberries (Note: Be sure to thoroughly rinse, drain and dry blueberries on paper towels before placing on top of cake)

Prepare cake as directed on package. Pour batter into 9" x 13" pan.. Bake as directed. Cool 10 minutes. Remove from pan; cool completely. Place cake (top side up) back into the cleaned pan. Prick with utility fork at 1/2" intervals. In glass bowl, pour 2 cups of the boiling water over gelatin and stir until Jello is dissolved. Spoon Jello over cake, allowing it to seep into holes before adding more. Refrigerate 3 to 4 hours. Spread whipped topping over top of cake. Place strawberry halves and blueberries over whipped topping to create a flag design. Refrigerate until ready to serve.

All I did was ask a simple question and she got all defensive  >:D

It's in the TOS (Taras Official Sayso)  rules, that if a person posts something, they have to answer the questions of the other forum members.  Why are the TOS rules so hard to follow?  :)) :))
