I think it only takes 3 to fill a box with out a glitch on medium.

How do you know if it is working?

first pay attention to how it looks on medium then try the glitch and see if it looks like it went further. I personally think it does work, i finally was patient enough to do it.

Sorry for my blonde-ness, but with the wordjong, do you actually select a cookie or do you await for the "gates" to open and then press "u" on they keyboard,

Wait for the gates to open, then press "u".  Just make sure when you click the letter tile again, you aren't clicking on a cookie or it ends the game and gives you a giant score.

I tried this last night to find i got no credit at all for completing a medium - so im ignoring that glitch for now....

basically as soon as you put the last piece in, whilst the red is still around the puzzle you switch to hard, and you get credit for completing that puzzle in hard mode.... didnt work for me though

I Love this forum!!  I was reading it, and I can help you with the Jigsaw Detective glitch.  In order to do this, you have to open it up, and start a puzzle on EASY, when the puzzle starts, close out of the window.  When you go back into it, it will say to start playing, click on that then it will say you have a saved game and ask if you want to continue it.  BEFORE you say yes, switch the difficulty of the puzzle to hard, then say yes.  It will say that the puzzle is 80 pieces, but when you play it it will be like it is on easy.  When you finish it it will give you credit for doing a hard puzzle but all you had to do was the easy.  Unfortunatly, you have to do it with every puzzle.
