Hi Everyone;
I managed to get Jigsaw at least working BUT my very LAST piece that has to go together doesn't go in and then it wants to start it all over again.... Any ideas what I could do about this?
Thanks for any help

Yes, I do. Sometimes, my JD will miss putting a piece in place. It plays the rest of the puzzle just fine. I have learned to watch it work, and when it is ALMOST finished, stop the program and fill in the missing piece.
If I don't, it will start all over with a new puzzle.
This works well  except when the missing piece is on the first part the JD auto completes- the border. It will restart when it misses a piece on the puzzle border.. plus, I don't want to play the whole darned puzzle myself, LOL.

JD is a good auto for most of us, but it does have quirks. Also, it will not start playing the same puzzle again if it is stopped or stirred in any way once it starts a puzzle. If you touch your mouse or touchpad, forget JD playing that puzzle. It won't continue.
Are you moving your mouse in anticipation of the puzzle being finished, by any chance? Just trying to trouble shoot with you. :)

Hi Iwanttowin2:
Yes you are soooo right about NOT wanting to do it ourselves.... LOL
I had read up on a post and I think you had told someone else about moving the mouse. etc. Well when I heard you say that I did not touch a thing.   LOL
But oddly enough as I left because I figured it might do it's thing anyways, when I got back I had one last one to do and I got the badge for it.... I never have done these except for the first one when it started..... I don't like the room that they give to try and put it all together so I have 7 done now(some friends I have like it and they would do it for me)  and I will get the rest done with this program. As long as I know there is still a little quirk here or there with it that is fine with me. It is getting me further then I would be doing.
Thank you sooooo much for trying to help. And you did just by letting me know that it does happen..
Have a good one :/\

MaryEllin,
Not sure how fast you are in doing the puzzles, but JD will complete a block of 3 puzzles on Medium difficulty for the puzzle and Fast speed for the auto in about 15 minutes.
So it takes the program approx. 1 and a half hours for it to do a complete case and get you a new badge!!! :) . I am counting the times it has to start over. When the auto finds a hole or misplaced piece, it will start over and either do another puzzle or if it is a new puzzle for that month's case, it will do it over. Sometimes, it will have to start over 4 or 5 times in a case, sometimes not at all. It varies widely, but since they addded graphics puzzles instead of just photos, I think the auto is having a bit more problems.
It can still solve the cases a lot faster than I can on Medium difficulty.

I pretty much got all my badges close together after I got the auto. Sherlock goes totally nuts on all our PCs- we don't know why, but Jigsaw Detector works better than doing it by hand.

It did the same thing for me.  I lowered the speed setting to slow and it worked just fine.  Sometimes if the speed is too fast it skips the pieces.  The auto realizes that it's missed some pieces and starts over with a new puzzle. Try lowering the speed and keeping caches clear, should work.   <O>
