ok i need some input on this deep frying the bird i have never done it i have bought the fryer but never have cook it that way i want to try it but need to know the way it comes out tyia

I have one and love it you need to cook outdoors and away from everything because it will get oil splatters
I inject my turkey with cajun seasoning at let it set for a couple of days to really pick up flavor
and also cover the turkey with a dry rub all over just make sure the turkey is not wet when you put it in the oil..water and oil don't mix  :oo  make sure you follow all directions and test pot to make sure you dont have too much oil when you put turkey in ..also when we put the turkey in we use a broom handle to lower it very slowly so we dont get burned.. and remember keep the temp at 350-365 and you'll be great..enjoy you will love it very moist on inside and crispy on the outside

ok will have to try this year some ppl say cooking in peanut oil

zeboo

yes I only use peanut oil because of the heat factor..just use common sence when cooking them alot of people have burned thier house down and garages .mostly due to putting frozen turkey in hot oil and also over filling with oil and then placing turkey in pot and have hot oil everywhere..those are  :oo I can't even imagine people not using common sence but it's happened alot so I guess there are alot of people who need cooking for dummies  :))
