Help With Checkers and Chess Cheats

I have downloaded both the cheats for Checkers and Chess for Pogo and everytime I go to use them, they lock up on my computer, no matter what computer I am on. I have tried this on both my desktop and laptop computers and home, and as we speak, I am on the computer at my college and tried running the programs and everytime I use them, it locks up EVERYTHING. Do these programs work??!
