Need help with Java

I am getting a error message saing java not found or not working, can anyone help me with this? I think its microsoft vm java that I use. everything was fine, and working great until I installed the update for Internet Explorer 7. the game's started to freeze up and it wouldn't let me view profiles or show me the badges when I won them. I uninstalled the IE7 again and played the games fine. I shut down my computer that night, when I tried to play a game the next day it would give me the message Java not found or not working. Can anyone help me fix this problem or tell me where I can get this Java again. thank you.

thank you Homer for your reply. I can see the sun java on this site, but not the microsoft one that I am looking for. am I looking in the wrong place or do this site only have the sun java?
