New Years Food

For the good luck part we eat black-eyed peas.  Someone puts a dime in the peas and whoever finds it gets the good luck for the year. 

:o  what happens if you swallow the dime and 2 nickles comes out do you have double luck  :-[ :)) :)) :))   :!!    just kidding   happy new year  O0

and what happens if 10 pennys come out do you have 10 times the luck   :-[ :)) :)) :))

I've never heard of eating something on New Year's for good luck.  :-[ My fiance says it's a big thing in the south. When I was younger we used to have ham. But now if we usually get together we have French meat pie. We didn't get togother this year because we had a big snow storm and I ended up with pneumonia.  :ox
