I heard the Cardinals are trying to get Norm Chow to promote head coaching job, he will be reunited with Matt Leinart when they were at USC together. I know Norm Chow can turn things around better than other head coaches. I also heard Jason Taylor of the Miami Dolphins is considering retirement. And Chow is 60 years old.

Saban Takes Bama Coaching Job

Associated Press
Published on: 01/03/07

MIAMI — Miami Dolphins coach Nick Saban has decided to accept the head coaching job at Alabama, according to reports from several news organizations Wednesday.

After two season as coach of the NFL's Miami Dolphins, Saban had been considering a deal that reportedly would make him the highest-paid coach in college football. He has three years remaining on his Miami contract at $4.5 million per year.

He won a national championship at Louisiana State and is 15-17 with the Dolphins. They went 6-10 in 2006, his first losing season in 13 years as a head coach.

Saban had weighed the relative merits of the NFL and college in a November interview.

"I really like coaching pro football," he said. "The relationship with the players is great and being in the most competitive league in terms of competitive balance is fantastic.

"There is a great spirit and sense of community that you get in college football because of people's ties to the school. There is a lot of gratification gained from making an impact on young men 18 to 22. I really enjoyed that.

"I really couldn't choose one over the other. I've enjoyed each experience."

It was like deja vu. Same exact thing happened to the Eagles vs the Cowboys on MNF. It is a bit disappointing though that we didn't get to kick their  :o0 one more time. :)))
