I am not thrilled with Vista because I'm still not able to run Firefox in Pogo, so I decided to start experimenting.  I downloaded Opera Web Browser, and so far I love it.  It seems to be "light" like Firefox and is very customizable.  I was able to easily double browse, and it "moves" nicely.

I am wondering though, the little java cup doesn't show up, but Pogo ran smoothely.  I did a search on Opera for information and got this:

Support for Java in Opera

Opera has embedded Java support. This means we use the Java Runtime Environment (JRE) directly instead of using the plug-in to run Java applets. It is not possible to use the Java plug-in with Opera.

Opera for other platforms may support Java through the use of a Java plug-in. Please consult the documentation for each platform for information about Opera's Java capabilities.

We recommend running an up-to-date version of JRE at all times. Opera does not work with versions of JRE prior to version 1.2.

Now, why don't all browsers embed?  Might this be a problem in the future?

However, I tried running an auto but the page keeps minimizing and I get the message that the game can't be found, so it's not a good option for auto running at all, but for single and double browsing (not brave enough to go above 2 yet) it works great.

Stinker I run Firefox on Vista without any problems

I am having a little trouble with Firefox since last update mainly with getting kicked out of rooms, I have XP.  Have tried Opera and liked it, but as you say the autos don't run.  Also tried Apple's Safari, but Pogo did not like that one at all.  Have not tried Netscape 9, which is another Mozilla based browser so cannot say on that one, and have not gotten the courage up to try the Beta of IE 8, since IE is the worst, plus AOL would probably meltdown, since it peculiar to begin with.

Stinker I run Firefox on Vista without any problems

I know there are some folk who can, and I have no problen just surfing the web, but as soon as I come on a page requiring Java, the page freezes up, my whole computer pfreezes up and I have to do a hard shutdown, then the whole blue screen/recovery thing.  I have done some research on this and found many people posting similar problems.  Stinks, cuz I love Firefox on my XP.

I run win xp pro, i use ie8/firefox/and seamonkey.

Since the last update firefox has become unusable for pogo,

I find seamonkey too be very stable and have no problems with it, ie8 seems too be performing well also.

I also run the same setup on another computer with vista ultimate installed, the same deal with firefox but ok with ie8 and seamonkey.

Hope this helps.
