I'm just checking some people were saying they were being sent to ebay when we had them up last time.

I haven't been hijacked to eBay either.  Only thing I notice is that it takes longer to load.... the smileys when you hit reply, take a few extra seconds to load, but no biggie.

Dumping your cache may help improve load times.

The slow loading of smilies was happening earlier today, but okay now.  Homer do you(PC)  get a penny or two when we click on the ads? cause I never do that and had that ad yield manager removed as it was making  my yahoo email very slow!

Might, but it just did the same thing on my daughters computer -- but like I said, not slow enough to care....

And, remember, my cache took it's own dump today.   :))   I went to an Apple store and HOLY MOLY they are expensive.  I think I'll just wait for the new hard drive and see what happens.  Supposed to have it next week one day.  If you remember, I've been saying for a few weeks now that I was going to have to reinstall Windows, well, it might have been a combination of Vista taking a dump and my HD going along for the ride.  Who knows... I only know that I wish I hadn't gotten Vista.

I am now an official Vistaphobe. :=

Honestly, I do not want to give MS another penny.  They are supposedly releasing another OS in '09.  What a crock o' crud.  They need to get the things they already have out, working first.  They are sounding more and more like AOHell.

Yes. The ads help pay for different costs associated with running the forum.

I'd be happy to join in, but I am on my daughters computer and she's limiting me on how much time I can spend on it.   :///  Soon as my computer screen turned that ominous shade of blue yesterday, she said "you're not taking over mine."   :))  Let me know how to revolt goes... I'll pop in when my daughters not looking.   :-X

Oh, and I thought you got your computer back?  Not fixed?

Oh, and I thought you got your computer back?  Not fixed?
I was going to tell you in your other post...so maybe you wouldn't feel so bad about yours. Mine is a Hewlett Packard, top of the line Media Center, with Vista....7 months old now. All of the problems started at just 5 months. It did go to Texas to get fixed...supposedly. It came back and all they had replaced was the power supply, they did not fix the original complaint I had about a loud humming noise, I found out (from Best Buy) it was the video card and that it was going bad, so HP sent me a new one, I had to put it in and after I did, my monitor screen turned this incredible green color and my computer crashed 7 times...so my computer is now going back to Texas to again be repaired and every time I talk to those idiots I am reminded that I now only have 89 days left on my warranty and would I like to extend it! I told them I would like my computer fixed before we start talking about any renewal of their service contract. Their service stinks. If they can't/don't get it fixed this time, my hubby said he is just going to buy me a new one. So I will be using his again until mine gets back from Texas. I did check my monitor on my hubby's computer and it had all of the right colors and worked fine, I don't need to hear from them that it is my monitor. I did two factory restores on mine too..two because they couldn't even seem to get the box here to ship it in and I needed to use my programs.
I cannot believe all of the problems with Vista and a new OS coming out on 2009? Yeah, I am ready for a revolution.  civilwar.gif

Good luck with your computer.... the next time I have to buy a computer, it won't have Vista on it and I'm hoping I can afford a MAC by then.

Dell has always been great, but Vista is miserable.

Stinkerbell

Just for the heck of it, I tried starting my computer this afternoon and it booted right up.  Vista can't even crash right.   :))

Frustrating? Try calling Hewlett Packard and talking to a tech who has a foreign accent and you can't pronounce their name after you write it down.  :)) He kept reminding me exactly how many days I had left on my warranty. One of the times I had 111 days left...last time I was down to 89 days.  := I think the tech is standing there saying.."Is this lady's warranty ever going to expire?"  :///
Still no computer.  !@#$
