Just an idea about the posting page.

How about moving the smiley's to below the post/preview/spellcheck buttons?

I think it would make it easier to post, since the smiley #'s have grown so big.

It makes it hard to post, if you dont' want to use a smiley, as most of us don't wait for all the smileys to load and as we start typing this box starts moving down. 

Also we would not have to scroll down to start typing.

Also we would not have to move the page up and down as we are making a post to use the special functions (bold, underline, pic, text, etc)

Just an idea.

How about maybe taking it one step further ..

Instead of showing them right of the bat, have a link like : [Show Smilies]

Only when a user clicks on that, then the smilies would show.

That sounds like a good idea...might help people on dial up and other slow Internet service.  Homer might get mad when he wakes up and sees that you have been trying to hide his toys..lol
