Okay since moving them below appears not to be an  option, how about giving us a box to check or something of that nature to not show them?

Maybe something like right below this reply box that has the arrow to open and close?

I will just drop it, but that is not what I am saying, it's the load time and the space of the smiley box pushes this reply box down and makes it to where you have to move page up and down to post if you want to use any of the special features.

The button we click to get  [more] smileys, how about making the ones that show down to 2 lines so there is not so huge of a block.  And all the smiley happy people could just hit  [more] to get em?

Don't get me wrong, I like the smileys, but to slow down the page and posting time for them is mind boggling.

(ohh and those canadian ones.. you can archive those suckers)

I asked for assistance on the SMF support forum about this many days ago.

I've had one coder complete 70% of the work but he hit a roadblock. After you hit the "[More Smilies]" button, they would show up BUT nothing happens when you click on the smiley (doesn't transfer over to the actual post box).

I believe it's javascript that handles that - but he can't figure out why it wasn't working. I offered cash if another coder would pick up the project and finish it but I've had no bites so far.
