I Need HELP

1 of my dogs has ringworm. And after many trips to the vets with skin scrapings and biopsies none of the many expensive creams are helping. I was wondering if anyone has ever sucessfully gotten rid of ringworm on their pets with a home remedy as I have all ready helped at least 2 of the vets kids go to college. I am at my wits end. So if you could help me and the beast before it spreads I would be indebted to you forever

Have you tried an over the counter anti-fungal cream like Blue Star Ointment, because it is a fungus, not an actual worm.  Depending on where the ringworm is, your dog might lick off the medicine, but you can use one of those neck cone thingies until it's taken care of.  It usually goes away quickly if you keep the medication on regularly.

Thanks for the advice at this point I will try anything because I also have 2 other dogs, 4 cats and a guinea pig and I would go insane if this spread to any of them. Luckily the dog that has it is my mastiff with short hair and i am vacuuming twice daily. I am on my way to the store for Head and Shoulders now. Thanks again and an extra thanks to you Stinkerbell

we use to use that purple neon stuff for ring worms..can't remember what it's called.. :(

Apparently all of the rain we have gotten in the last 3 weeks has awaken the ringworm spores around here. I was at store buying head and shoulders and a lady said 2 of her cats have it and that she uses athletes foot spray and it works.I am curious what the purple neon stuff is though.

Athletes foot and "jock itch" are also forms of fungus.  Use the shampoo, and get some kind of topical medication like Blue Star Ointment and keep at it.
