I read on another thread that autos don't run on Mac computers.  You can put a version of Windows on Mac, does that make a difference?  Will autos run that way?

Homer

The only way to know for sure is to find a Mac running windows and try it.

The cheats should run just fine in windows on a mac.
Nothing spoils a good story like the arrival of an eyewitness.

Thanks!  I wasn't sure if there might be a registry issue of some sort.  We're going to buy a Mac soon, and I was wondering about it.
Thanks again!  You're a doll!   (OO)

I have two G4 powerbooks, a G5 desktop, a Mac book pro, and a Mac Air. I should say my wife and I do.
The reason I have Macs is because I don't need Windows, subject to more viruses.
The reason for more than one is, we use one for diving and navigation programs, one is my medical data, and database., one is my wife's and one is for me to carry when traveling. The desktop is what we share when home.
Macs are faster, true. They won't run autos also true. But if you're going to buy a Mac and run Windows on it you might as well buy a PC.
I bought a Compaq  HP solely for running autos, cost me 450 USD and came with a printer. I could buy two or three of these for the price of one Mac.
But I love my Macs. To me Apples OS is sweet. But also to me putting Windows on a Mac is like painting a Ferrari with a toothbrush.
You really want Vista on a Mac????? My thought, buy your Mac, dump everything on your current machine, and free it up for badgehelp.
One more thing, as Apple gets bigger, Ipods, Apple TV, Itunes. More interest will be generated into hacking it's systems.
All this is just IMHO and is offered only FYI.

I've been thinking the same thing.  We have 4 usable PCs here, but I always try to think 'down the road' and was hoping the Mac would do it all.
But you made an excellent point... do I want Vista on a Mac?  Easy... NO.  I don't want Vista on anything.  Although, since they replaced my hard drive, I haven't had many problems other than software compatibility issues.  For example, I can't get Yahoo Messenger to completely install.

Thanks for all of that valuable information, it's the kind of 'first hand' experience I was hoping for.
