I have used a great site called flamingtext dot com; they have great graphic generators plus images and gifs, icons, smilies, and so on.

There is also a glitter text generator at pimpmyspace dot org.  :!!

If you don't like those just google the term 'glitter text'.

hi all ty for your quick replyes sorry i have not aswered till now but
just got out of hospital as i had a heart attack the day after posting
