You should really consider a new pc if you can afford it. It's no wonder your pc is freezing. You basically are running a bare bones pc and need not only 1GB of RAM but you need to upgrade Windows. Microsoft stopped supporting ME 2 years ago.

If you can't afford a new pc you should contact the manufacturer to see if your model's RAM can be upgraded. I recommend upgrading to 1GB minimum. More RAM is always better but I wouldn't waste the money considering how old your pc is.

If you find the right sale you can get new desktops for between $200 - $350

Go to the site CrazyMan suggested to see how much new RAM will cost. An upgrade to XP will cost you about $75. My estimate would bring your upgrades to about a total of $150 versus the price of a new desktop $200 - $350

My suggestion is to get a new desktop.

Just ordered 2 gigs of ram cost about 50 bucks.  Homer is correct you need to upgrade or buy a new pc.  ME wasnt that good when it was supported

See, my ME was awesome.  It was a Compaq, and I never, not once, had a problem with it.  When I got a new computer about 3 years ago, I gave it to my son-in-laws parents and it's still running.  I hear so many people complaining about ME, but it was the most flawless OS I ever had.  I musta been really lucky on that one.

I don't think I've heard another person on the planet say they liked ME.  I know I'm the only one.   :))  And since Dell sent a new hard drive for my Vista laptop, I have almost zero problems with Vista.  Vista does still have some compatibility issues, but even those are getting worked out.   :^*
