Making Still Shots

My mom got a CD made of old home movies and I want to download them onto my computer and be able to make still shots for scrapbooking.
Can anyone recommend a good program for this?

Can You Play the movie on Windows media player?

If it plays on there you should be able to pause the movie anywhere you want,
right click on the image and "save" the picture to a fold on your desktop....

works for me and I always look for the cheapest way out, but thats because ImJustOneOldCHEAPSKATE

Photobucket.com has some nice formats to make slideshow which can be put on a disk. The best part of it is Photobucket is FREE and the slide part can be slowed down.
