Depends on how much you are willing to spend and what your needs are.

Other than pogo what do you use the pc for?

Go to a place like Best Buy. Just about any pc off the shelf will do the trick. You want at least 2-4GB of RAM

Price will be about $300-$400

I was thinking of getting my husband a laptop for Christmas.  It doesn't need anything fancy.  He doesn't game, doesn't watch videos, just surfs the web looking at finance stuff, etc.  I bet one of the cheapies would work well for him.  I have a laptop and we have a nice desktop, but with so many badges and autos and so little time, I hate to have to share. :))) :)))

You can get a very competent laptop in the $500-$700 range. Again no less than 2GB RAM. More RAM is always better especially with Vista

Thanks, Homer.  Since Dell replaced my hard drive, I've had nearly no problems with Vista at all!   :^*

*** Stupid Question Alert ***

I have a laptop I bought about 2 - 3 years ago.  Are there "ports" or some equivalent so I can add RAM?  I think I only have 1 gig and I've noticed how slowly it is running these days.  I only use it to surf the web and play Pogo.  I am adding lots of deluxe games, though, and, of course, the autos.  With the exception of protective programs, there are no other big downloads on that one.  I'm feeling the need for speed.  :-D

Stinkerbell

You should be able to add RAM, inkyone.  But on one of my older desktops, there were no extra slots so I had to take a couple chips out and replace them with bigger chips, rather than just add smaller ones.  Did that make sense?
