computer help please

hello all, hubby got me a wireless printer for x-mas and i installed it and everything, had some problems and i call lexmark and they did it for me and they said my printer spooler is not starting,, does anybody have any idea on what i should do?? i called microsoft and they want to charge me 59.99 for 15 minutes and that is not guaranteed it will work. i have tried doing everytihng from restarting the spooler and nothing,  so i thought i would try it again and when i do that it shuts my puter down.. so i thought i would try here to see if anyone knows anything about it, any help is appreaciated..

tried that and they said it was a microsoft software problem to call them. i think it was just and excuss. i am gonna call tomorrow and see what they tell me then,, i got 1,600.00 in a computer and a printer that i cant use..   buy their products and they dont want to help you , i think that is just totally wrong.. i guess it's how can we get your money anymore these days..

When I need help with something first thing I usually try is searching for the problem. Usually you get alot of hits about people having the same problem and it will lead you to an answer. Just try typing printer spooler is not starting,
or will not start in your search bar and see what you get. You may do better if you mention the name and model of the printer in your search.

Me too, I know I can't be the only one having the problem.........and by doing a search I usually find the answers I need and can fix whatever is wrong with some of the advice given  ""

Also remember that the person you talked to at Lexmark is just one of MANY - you might have better luck emailing them so it is all written out or just calling and requesting to talk to another person than you talked to before. That usually gets you someone who is really TRYING to help you solve the problem. Before you resort to Microsofts costly help cuz trust me the first 15 mins are them asking you about what you have even though they are capable of pulling all of that off their site....... try those computer nerds that come around to your house in VW bugs....Nerd Patrol or something clever like that. At least THEN you pay but you get results that are guaranteed.

thank you all for your help.. i called lexmark back and said that someone needs to help me with the problem i am having or i am returning the priner, well of course they just was so helpful..   and nothng was said about chraging me, i told the person i talked to today that the other day i called and they wanted to charge me , and she said , what we dont charge for help with our products.. i said well he wanted paid.. she said she os going to check into that, something dont sound right. i said well look on my service ticket # and see who it was..  she said lexmark will be getting in contact with me on this issue...    but wanted to take a few minutes to thank you alll for your help... i will let you know what lexmark says, i am kinda courious myself..
