My oldest daughter took this picture of her son, my grandson, at a birthday party this morning.

She didn't alter the picture at all. She has a friend who is a professional photographer who told her how to set her camera for pictures like this.

Sometimes your job can be a real pain in the butt. This was from a local La Jolla neighborhood newspaper about the upgrades happening at the mall. Sorry the paper was very wrinkled.

OK, not roses, but I just had to share a couple of pictures with you. I was recently contacted by a distant cousin regarding some family history work I've been doing. He sent me this picture of his father, my great grandmother's brother. He was born in 1899, so you can guesstimate the date of the pictures.

I laughed so hard when I saw the scowl on this little boys face and I thought, man, if I were him and I had to wear a that get-up, I'd be pissed off, too.

This is him a couple years later. He doesn't look toooooo much happier, does he?

Can't say as I would be too thrilled about that outfit either or the hat in the other one. I have some old pictures of great grandparents and some of the clothes they wore and I am glad we arent in that era.
