Unlike IE7 it would block badge popups and stop the auto and even though I tinkered with settings I still had the auto stop whenever the "oops, you have a popup blocker" message came up. I got so frustrated with it I did a restore back to 4/27 which was the day before windows started putting that "update/forced IE8" and now daily when I boot I have to click on Cancel for that update. Others have said they like IE8 but I would love to figure out how to stop it from blocking popups even though all my settings are exactly the same as they were with IE7.

I was unable to get Pogo to run correctly in IE8 had to keep running in IE7 compatibility mode.........and beta tested Win7 with IE8 and that was really awful, Java and Adobe Flash will not even install correctly and forget cheats, I tried Everyone Wins Bingo cheat and I could daub faster than the auto will run if you tried to speed it up it would then daub every number on the card and have a meltdown, and that was in FF, IE8 in Win7 will not run them at all.

Click tools and scroll to pop up blocker and turn it off, I have IE8 and it works great on vista

I had done that but it still stopped the auto with that message "popup message" telling me I have a popup blocker. Am also using Vista.

Try going to Pogo's Pop Up checker and see if it can help you out.

How to disable your pop-up blocker
Hold down the (CTRL), ALT, or SHIFT key

Many pop-up blockers can be temporarily disabled by holding down the Control (CTRL), ALT, or SHIFT key when you click a link. For example, before you click the Play Now button, hold down the Control, ALT, or Shift key. Be sure to continue to hold down the key until the pop-up window appears. To test if your pop-up blocker can be disabled this way, run the pop-up blocker test again, but this time, hold down the (CTRL), ALT, or SHIFT key.

If holding down these keys doesn't help...

There are many different pop-up blocker programs out there, and the directions for disabling each one are different. The following is a set of general instructions designed to show you where to start looking for your pop-up blocker. These instructions use Internet Explorer and Windows XP as an example, but many browsers are similar.

1. Check your internet browser's toolbar. Pop-up blockers are often visible there:

Go to the View menu at the top of your browser.
Under View you should see a menu option for Toolbars
Under Toolbars you should see options for Standard buttons and Address bar
If there are other toolbars listed that are checked, try disabling them by un-checking them and running the pop-up blocker test again.

2. Look in the "notification" area near your system clock.
Many popular internet security programs include pop-up blockers. These security programs often display a little icon by the clock in the corner of your computer screen. Double-click the little icon and look for any instructions regarding pop-up blockers. Each security program is very different, so you will need to consult your documentation for directions about how to disable these pop-up blockers. If you don't have this documentation, try checking their website for more information.

3. Consult your browser's help system
If the steps above don't work, we suggest consulting your browser's help system:

Go to the Help menu at the top of your browser (note that this is different from the Pogo help system which is a link in the web page).
Click Help and select the Contents and Index option
Search for the word "pop-up" or "popup"
If there are other toolbars listed that are checked, try disabling them by un-checking them and running the pop-up blocker test again.

Please note that site-specific disabling of the popup blocker will not work on Pogo. The popup blocker will need to be completely disabled in order to function correctly on Pogo.

I did that first when I downloaded IE8 - and got all of the popups as per Pogo but when I try to get a badge with an auto I get that message "oops-popup". I even went in to Internet Options and tried changing things there.

Hmmm, how long ago did you try IE8?  It may still have been needing fixing as I waited until I heard enough people say it worked with autos.

disneyland lady

It was put as a Windows Upgrade on 4/28 and I worked with it for 8 days until I just got too frustrated at it stopping my auto from working. I actually don't know if it had issues other than what I was experiencing with the one auto I was running which is boardwalker. I am trying to finish with slots before something else happens with the computer because when you win an auto you don't get to replace it if something happens so I won't try any of the newer versions of IE8 if there are any, until I rank out.

Sounds like a winner, by then maybe they have a better version for you.

I always put game1.pogo.com and pogo.com in the popup blocker exception list and have no problems...
