We are aware of the server issues - we have contacted the hosting company and hopefully will have this issue resolved soon.

It appears we may have to upgrade this server at some point.

The traffic "bursts" we were getting tonight was pushing the server to it's limits.

I'll continue to monitor the server stats and will keep you guys posted if an upgrade is necessary.

The server will parse todays logs in about 4 hours - then i'll know what page(s) people were trying to access that almost killed the server

In that case, it must've been Stinkerbell.  She already admitted that the explosion happened when she was replying to a post.  Go git 'er, Mayhem!

Just to let you guys know .. I have went ahead and purchased a new dedicated server.

The current server we have just can't handle the amount of traffic any longer.

The new server is a huge upgrade to this one. I'll spare you from all the geeky details, but it's a night and day difference.

I'm in the process of setting it all up now. It may be still be a week before we move over to it, but I'll keep you posted on the exact date when we are getting close.
