Two thousand ten sounds right I guess, that's how everyone is pronouncing it.  Even though last century it was nineteen ten nineteen sixty etc...somehow twenty ten doesn't sound right

Excellent Question.....  for the past 9 years we have been starting the year off by saying "Oh"....   like "Oh"1  - "Oh"2.... etc.   How bout we call this year "Oh"10

good question. i've wondered the same thing. i also wonder if it matters which one is used. i've heard people use both. i personally like two thousand ten cause i think it sounds better.

But this is serious folks. While our esteemed leaders in Washington are haggling over Homeland Security, Health care reform and taxation (without representation) ((oops...sorry)), we have the formidable task of setting the standard for our future generations. Really, right now, who cares what you call it. Two Thousand Ten or Twenty Ten. But fast forward just one measly hundred years. Now our grandchildren or great-grandchildren are living in the year 2110. Do they call it Two Thousand One Hundred Ten or Twenty-One Ten. or maybe like Stinky says, they'll just call it 110. So if you were thinking that this wasn't a serious subject.....think again. What we decide here may affect our future leaders, maybe the way scientists look at things in the future. It might just affect the whole world.

Don't think it's world shattering event. Say whatever we want. I say now 2thousand 10 and then 21-10. No beig deal eveyone will know what we are talking about lol Besides in 2110 it will be their problem.

But what happens in future generations when people are afraid to leave their houses because of the conflicts going on? The hundredeese vs the thousandeese? People getting killed because of their beliefs? What happens then? People writing bugs into computers because of the way dates are put in? The world trade crashing because of all this. And you say it's not important? We need to settle this now and not leave it to the children of tomorrow. We owe it to them!
