I am on schedule to hit rank 49 today which is 475

I should hit 50 tomorrow

I didn't hit 49 until I was 495 games. I wonder what's up with that.

It's odd that I made rank 49 at 495 and you said it should be 475, and I finally made rank 50 @ 520 instead of 500. I was 20 behind what was supposed to be, and so was my dummy account.

That would make sense since both accounts played together the whole time, dbing, and win or lose they both had the same "Game Played" count. Who knows, all I can say is thank heaven's that's over with!

I am nowhere near completing this game, as I am waiting for the inevitable Premium/Mix badges to get. I will get them x50 to work on the game rank progress.

I have seen the exact thing you are talking about. A small number of games did not count, for whatever reason.

Ranks 1 - 30 ---> 5 games played per Rank for a total of 150 at Rank 30
Rank 31 - 40 ---> 10 games played per Rank for a total of 250 at Rank 40
Rank 41 - 50 ---> 25 games played per Rank for a total of 500 at Rank 50

I'm about 40 games from ranking out but see that my endgame window is on track but my stats page says I've played about 40 more games than I actually did.  It's all screwy.  It's the endgame window that should be followed.
