I've not been able to use autos often since got the new puter with IE7.  Now I see inorder to use the Boardwalk auto have to download it from CNET.. I have nothing but trouble from BH since I now have IE7 on this new putr. About ready to give up onBH and Pogo unless it's a game easier to play by hand. Life's too short to keep getting problems.l

Have you emailed BH about your problems?

BH has had nothing but problems with the AV programs falsely classifying the autos as viruses or malware. Cnet certifies the programs as being safe and that is why they are downloaded from there.

thanks, Homer. I'll have to send BH a letter lol  I have cnet tracker on my puter, my son installed it.  But I can see why BH did that m ove.

Hey, just a half of a thought here. Why are you using ie7? In my opinion, you should be using ie8.  All you have to do is  go to the microsoft website and download it. You probably will have to restart your computer.  ie9 is still being tested. You have to have at least vista or windows 7. I'm stuck at ie8 since my dell is a 5 year old dinosaur with xp,  giggle2.gif. But it still works great! Good Luck!!

Most of the programs still have the old download link as well Gator. I still use them.

Likewise here Crazy. The key is the AV program you are using. With Norton, I have the ability to turn it off for a very short bit of time while I d/l and start the updated program. Even with Cnet approval, I found myself having to do this at times with a few.

Win 7 is funny when it comes to autos. I have discovered you have to set it on Windows Basic which is done on the personalitzation screen in backgrounds. Just pick the one labled Winows Basic and it will change everything over. And there appears to be only one labled BASIC. Second dont use IE chrome is way better and if I can get use to tabs then any body can. With a little experimenting I discovered that my laptop which came with WIn 7 automatcially changes to Win BAsic when I load a auto. My desktop which was a upgrade doesnt.

Great info harley! I haven't used IE for many years, was truly a FF fan till i ran into a problem with QuackAttack recently. I tried using Chrome browser, and the program performed flawlessly. As for tab browsing.......I have learned that it's not like pull tabs. Oh well?

Pull tabs are easier     hysterical.gif

If you hold down the CTRL key and hit the Tab key you can shift between tabs without using the mouse elf2.gif

With my coordination no telling where the tab would wind up

I tried Homer's suggestion, it took me about 10 minutes to find those keys, and I still didn't win a dollar. I'm done tabbing on the puter, I'll save that for the adult beverage establishment.

I wish Badgehelp would put cnet back as a download option.  The latest up date to Eset has decided BH is too dangerous to visit and wont even let me open the site.  If I shut it down and get the auto, it promptly deletes it once I reactivate it.  I have told Rset of their stupidity and they claim its an ad thats causing the problem.  At least when cnet was an option I could still get them.  Grr!!  Stupid AV.

I had to google ESET just to reply, never had heard of it. I now know that it is headquartered in Slovakia...gonna take more googling to find Slovakia, dang....lol. All I can say is rejoin the Norton AV world. With BH dropping Cnet, I still have no issues with updates. Good luck.

Thanks.  I contacted their support and got instructions on how to do exclusions and now am up and running again.
