My dad bought the AVG program and it can be downloaded on 3 computers. He installed it on one computer, but does anyone know how he'd download the program on the other computers?

He forwarded the email to me that they sent and there are no directions stating what to do.

Thanks in advance!!

Hiiii Stinky, nice to see you ... I've been away for a bit. Just dropped this note cuz I seen you here but sorry I have no idea how to solve your problem. Maybe the help file can solve this? Crazy's pretty good at this stuff too. Good luck with it anyway hon and let us all know how you made out, ok.

Hi Snowflower!!!  embrace.gif  I"m so glad you said hello! I've been on here hit and miss, too. Been so busy with one thing or another, but when I had this question I knew to come here for an answer!

I looked through their FAQ and Tech help, and even did a search, but found nothing. I've been with Trendmicro for years, and know nothing about AVG.

I hope you're doing well, my friend!!!

Homer

Not sure about AVG but with Trend you just download to the other pc's and enter the registration key

Yeah, that's what I'm guessing. They live an hour away and he's nervous to do it himself and wants me to drive up and do it. I'm wanting as much information as I can find before I make that trip because I don't want to get stuck on the phone with tech support.

He's 75ish years old and he asked me what AV program I recommended and I told him I only use Trendmicro, and that if he goes with anything else that I wouldn't be much help. An hour later he calls back and tells me he's purchased AVG and can't get on Pogo, and wants AVG on the other computers and can't I tell him how...  I reminded him that I already told him I don't know anything about it and he says, "I know, but I thought maybe you changed your mind."

GAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks, Homer. I might be looking in the wrong place, but I didn't find anything at that link. I'll just have to drive up and help them.

Thanks, Homer. They say it's a straight download and enter the license key, so we're good to go!  beer11.gif

Okay, well. I drove up to my folks house today to try and install AVG on the other computers, but before I could do that my dad told me that ever since downloading AVG on his desktop, he can't load World Class Solitaire. He can load every other game, but not that one. And, the other two computers in their house that don't have AVG on them CAN load World Class Solitaire.

I tried finding where there might be a list of blocked items within AVG but found nothing. They're using AVG 2012. Any suggestions?

Hi Stinkerbell.
I have the free version of AVG. I never had a problem with it and Pogo until recently. It was the update from 2011 to 2012. I just tried my MS and it worked with the Link Scanner activated.  I have Windows XP, IE 8, so maybe that's the difference.
Your Dad has to uncheck both boxes in Link Scanner when he wants to play World Class Solitaire. The problem with that is he's not protected and  has to remember to recheck the boxes when he's done playing. I hope it works for him.
They're suppose to be working on a fix for this. My problems were always with the Java updates, lol. I finally turned off the automatic updates.
Good Luck!

Thanks, Kane! Yeah, I had to update Java for him and I can't even remember how I finally got it done, but I wasn't able to do it via the Java console or any links from Pogo. It's a mess, and AVG wasn't able to help him either. It's so weird that everything else works, all the other games, except WCS.
